Technology Design Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs
Components Selection Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
Installation Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
Programming Writing computer programs for various purposes
Testing Conducting tests to determine whether machines or software are operating as expected
Operations Monitoring  Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Operation and Control  Controlling operations of equipment or systems
Product Inspection Inspecting and evaluating the quality of products

Systems Perception Determining when important changes have occurred in a system or are likely to occur
Identification of Downstream Consequences Determining the long-term consequences of a change in operations
Identification of Key Causes Identifying the changes in operations needed to achieve a goal
Judgment and Decision Making Considering the short and long-term consequences of actions with respect to many different outcomes
Objective Evaluation Looking at many indicators of system performance, taking into account their accuracy

 
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Time Management Managing one’s own time and the time of others
Management of Financial Resources Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures
Management of Material Resources Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work
Management of Personnel Resources Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
