The Learning Assistance Program (LAP) offers the student with special needs personal, career and academic counseling via an individualized plan. Students registered in LAP receive academic support and reasonable accommodations relevant to their individual needs. LAP builds on the student's strengths and assists them in maximizing their personal and academic abilities to better prepare the student for wider and more challenging career choices in life. Eligibility for LAP is based solely on medical and/or diagnostic documentation by a qualified professional. All support services, including accommodations, are determined on a case-by-case basis according to the student's documented needs. LAP documentation is confidential. Information is shared on a need-to know basis with the student's permission.
